Being latina, latinx, caribeña, hispanic, “spanish girl”, dominican-american, dominicana, quisqueyana, americana, gringa, white, black, mulatta, mixed, is at the center of who I am. I carry the complexity of identity in my name, my education & spirituality, my skin tone, my politics & career choice, my writing & self expression, my walk, body type, style and talk. & I know I am far from alone. bienvenido

    For Maribí:

Really love what you all are doing on here. I have a two-way proposal. I would love to contribute to this amazing space you’ve created for all-inclusive voices of all sorts of people coming from many types of lived experiences. Being a queer identifying ethnic African woman, I sometimes find it frustrating to express my form of feminism because it directly contradicts with the popular notions of heteronormative in performing blackness and black female sexuality.

In addition, I would love to feature the Editor in Chief on my site. I usually like to have in-person conversations, spend a day experiencing a daily routine or work of whoever I’m writing about so my piece sounds more authentic. However, I would also love to have any of you contribute to my site if interested. I am looking for feminist columnists to add to the breadth of content generated on the site that will help expand beyond just music, but discussion of hip-hop culture, politics, fashion, city lifestyles and living, transformative justice, etc. through a feminist lens.

Look forward to hearing from you soon!
